President Dechert Sends Letter to US Representative James Sensenbrenner, Jr.

Dear Mr. Sensenbrenner,

I regret being forced to contact you again in writing, by mail, regarding the incredible and completely unjustified prejudicial manner with which the Committee on the Judiciary has appeared to deal with our organization. You have successively presided over the defeat of H.R. 952, 107th Congress, H.R. 1043, 108th Congress, and (thus far) H.R. 3476, 109th Congress. Each of these measures were bills to “grant a Federal charter to Korean War Veterans Association, Incorporated.”

This week more and more of our membership have grown restive over the intolerable dishonorable treatment they have perceived coming from your office on this matter. It was amazing to me that when they contacted your district and national offices they were told that this matter had never been brought to your attention! Inquirers were then treated with what they perceived to be the “go around.” My representatives hand-delivered a letter from me to your office in early September 2005...
