Korea Veterans President Announces Support of The Military Order of The Purple Heart for Federal Charter Bills
CAMP BEAUREGARD, LA (July 18, 2007) President Louis Dechert, Korean War Veterans Association, USA, today announced that the Military Order of the Purple Heart of the USA, is again supporting the efforts of the KWVA to obtain a Federal Charter.
On June 25, 2007, H.B. 2852 and S. 1692 were introduced in the 1st Session, 110th Congress.

President Dechert also expressed his appreciation to the Honorable Hershel Gober, former Acting Secretary of Veterans Affairs in the second Clinton Administration and presently the MOPH Legislative Director for his care and assistance.
Dechert noted that this year is the 75th Birthday for the MOPH and offered the congratulations of the KWVA.
