Dedicated May 24th, 2002 in front of West Perry High School in Elliottsburg, PA. This $7,000.00, two-year
project was spearheaded by the West Perry History Club. The 2'x3' bronze base relief was designed and
sculpted by students. It is mounted on a rose-colored granit monument 4' high and 7' long. Engraved on the
granite are the names of the 13 Perry Countians who perished in the service of their country during the
Korean War era.

The Lebanon County, PA, Korean War 50th Year Remembrance Memorial was dedicated on Sunday, June 18, 2000.
It was dedicated to the Lebanon County Veterans who served in Korea and especially to the 17 Lebanon County
men who gave their lives in this War. It is located at Fisher Park, South Ninth and Tenth Streets, Lebanon,
PA.

Philadelphia

The Korean War Memorial, dedicated at Penn's Landing in Philadelphia on 22 June, 2002, is a monument to
the soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines and Coast Guardsmen from Philadelphia and surrounding counties, and a
monument to the historical importance of the Korean War -- a lesson for generations of Americans and
America's visitors to learn.

York PA Chapter 178 constructed the memorial, with a casting in life-size bronze. The lower portion of the
Memorial is polished black granite, 6 feet long by 4 feet in depth and 3.5 feet in height. All four sides
have frosted etched scenes. Approximately 700 known Korean War Veterans in the area were contacted and asked
to be part of the Memorial by contributing at least $100.00 for a memorial brick. The brick is part of the
surrounding walkway, and has the veteran’s name, branch of service, and rank at time of service engraved on
it. Many families also remembered with their contributions for bricks.
